When David was in exile during the reign of King Saul, many of the men of Israel went out to join him. From the tribe of Issachar, 200 men went to support David. The book of Chronicles tells us that they "understood the times and knew what Israel should do."

In this spirit, DAI's Issachar Initiative seeks to develop young leaders of influence in the majority world as they strive to impact and transform their times.

We aim to do this through listening to the real needs of emerging leaders in an ever-changing environment and developing culturally relevant tools to enhance the integrity and effectiveness of these leaders worldwide.

The Issachar Initiative accomplishes this by:

  • holding forums that give young leaders a place to learn from each other and struggle with current issues within their cultural context.
  • facilitating mentoring programs that help leaders grow in Christ and generate wisdom to address their times.
  • offering online training and tools that help leaders use this age to further their faith and the faith of others.

Make an investment in the life of one of these young leaders.
