Democratic Republic of Congo

The Democratic Republic of Congo, previously known as Zaire, sits in Central Africa. It is home to more than 68 million French speakers, making it the largest Francophone country in the world. The country is still struggling to recover from the Second Congo War, which officially ended in 2003 and has the lowest per capita GDP of any nation in the world.

Since 2004, DAI has been working in DR Congo to help strength the church and the country. As the Senior Consultant overseeing DAI's Francophone MA Program, Dr. Jean-Marie Nkonge is helping train leaders who will be ready to meet the challenges of their country. These leaders are men and women already in ministry, doing the work to which God has called them. Development Associates International is coming alongside them to help them more effectively answer that calling.

By developing strong servant leaders who lead effectively and with integrity, the church is positively impacting the communities of DRC. You can increase their impact.
