Reuben Ezemadu

Ministry Center Director, Nigeria

Rev. Reuben E. Ezemadu has been with DAI since it’s conception. In 1984, Reuben met Dr. Jim Engel who was visiting the headquarters of Christian Missionary Foundation. Reuben had been using Jim’s “Contemporary Christian Communications” to train the indigenous missionaries of CMF. This spurred Jim to simplify and adapt the materials to meet local needs and context. These discussions led to the founding of the Center for Organizational Excellence and eventually the founding of Development Associates International in 1996.

Reuben has served with numerous other ministries throughout Africa and beyond, including Nigeria Evangelical Missionary Association, Third World Missions Association, Movement For African National Initiatives, Nigerian Finish the Task Network and Great Commission Roundtable. He is currently the International Director of the Christian Missionary Foundation in Nigeria.

Reuben’s efforts in Christian missions have been widely recognized. He has been awarded the Akanu Ibiam Award for Outstanding Promotion of the Vision and Work of Cross-Cultural Missions by Wesley International Theological Seminary (now West African Theological Seminary), the Wosom Merit Award for Outstanding Achievements in Missions Work by World Outreach School of Missions and an honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree by World Link University.

Reuben has authored a number of books on Missions including “Towards the Evangelization of Nigeria” (Editor), “Partnering to Build The Kingdom” (Editor), “A Compilation of the Amsterdam 2000 Strategists Workgroup Resource Materials” (Editor), “Missions: The Heartbeat of God”, “Missions and You”, “Missions Mobilization: A Manual for Mobilizing Men, Money and Materials for Missions)”, “Sending and Supporting African Missionaries in the 21st Century” and “Models, Issues and Structures of Indigenous Missions in Africa”. He has also contributed several articles to other publications.

Reuben is married to Mrs. Bosede Olaitan Ezemadu and blessed with four children (Chika, Chuks, Buchi and Joshua) and as well a growing number of grandchildren.
